Prayer Service for Loran Cole

Loran Cole is scheduled to be executed on August 29, 2024 at 6:00pm for the murder of John Edwards. On Thursday August 29 at 9:45am, Good Shepherd will hold a prayer service for Loran Cole, his victim, John Edwards and for an end to the death penalty. Although the crime Mr. Cole committed was cruel, he was himself a victim of the Dozier School for Boys. Ironically, last month, the Governor signed a compensation bill for the survivors of the Dozier School for Boys, recognizing the longstanding effects of the brutal abuse and torture they suffered there. Yet on August 29, one of those survivors is scheduled to be executed for a crime stemming from the effects of that abuse. Please come and pray with us Thursday at 9:45am in the Good Shepherd church for the souls of Loran Cole, John Edwards, and for an end to the death penalty.
